Supervisory Management Workshop

Supervisory Management Workshop

There is a moment in every supervisor's career when technical skill stops being enough. The promotion has been earned, the title has changed, but the real work — the work of leading people, not just managing tasks — has only just begun. Most supervisors are left to figure this out on their own, learning leadership through trial, error, and the quiet frustration of a team that is not performing the way it should. The Supervisory Management Workshop exists to change that.

This is a one-day, in-person, immersive leadership experience hosted by Baker Tilly Central Africa Academy, built specifically for supervisors, team leaders, and emerging managers who are ready to lead with intention rather than instinct.

The Reality Most Supervisors Face

Being promoted into a supervisory role rarely comes with a manual. One day a person is a peer among colleagues; the next, they are responsible for that same team's output, discipline, morale, and growth. Without the right frameworks, this transition becomes trial by fire — supervisors either micromanage out of anxiety, delegate too loosely out of avoidance, or burn out trying to do everything themselves. The cost is real: disengaged teams, missed targets, high turnover, and supervisors who feel permanently stretched thin.

The Supervisory Management Workshop was designed to close that exact gap — replacing guesswork with a proven, structured approach to leadership that can be applied immediately, from day one back at the office.

What Participants Will Master

How to Self-Manage

Leadership begins with self-leadership. This module equips participants with the discipline, time management, and personal accountability required before they can effectively lead others.

How to Manage Responsibly with Accountability

Learn how to set clear expectations, hold team members to them fairly, and build a culture where accountability is a shared standard — not a source of conflict.

How to Manage Hands-On

For situations that demand direct, active involvement, this module teaches how to guide teams closely without slipping into micromanagement.

How to Manage by Delegation

Discover how to hand over responsibility with confidence — freeing up time for strategic priorities while empowering team members to grow into their roles.

How to Manage for Performance

Move beyond simply assigning tasks. Learn how to set performance standards, track progress meaningfully, and drive consistent results across a team.

How to Lead a Team

Bridge the gap between managing tasks and leading people. This module focuses on building trust, communication, and a shared sense of purpose within a team.

Scaling the Heights

The workshop closes with a powerful capstone module on ambition and growth — helping participants think beyond their current role and prepare for the next level of leadership responsibility.

Who Should Attend
